Homes of Hope

Homes of Hope is a project to make affordable housing for lower income families on the campus of the Center of Hope Church, a Black-led church in East Oakland on MacArthur Blvd. The project is rehabilitating vacant space in a former charter school into 23 residential units adjacent to the church. The project was entitled in 2021, received building permits in 2023 and is currently raising funds for construction financing.
